Dancing On The Duvet

Dancing On The Duvet:

So I’m searching through the archives of my spiritual journal, and I’m reminded that God is good, faithful, wise, and loves me with an unconditional love.

He’s so unchanging!

In truth, I often reflect on the goodness of God in this way:

I am so grateful that every morning when I awake, I am found living and breathing.

What I mean is, often, cocooned within the duvet, I awake revived.

I feel so full of energy.

Well, enough to give me strength to arise from our bed, to walk across the laminated floor – to draw back the golden coloured curtains and gaze beyond the window over the horizon.

Of course due to my blindness, I cannot see a thing – but how I love to imagine, to reflect.

And yes, through all the crushing circumstances and pains of life, including multiple health issues, I am still able to ponder on the goodness of God.

I’m so blessed!

More than enough!

I’m quite content whatever my circumstances.

I’ve found the recipe for being happy!

In light of this, there is a part of me that is eager, ready for anything in God.

Oh! What a feeling! Dancing on the duvet!

What a buzz!

Overwhelmed by the Father’s love.

He fills me with hope.

It’s hard to keep my feet on the ground.

Yet, somehow, I don’t think Rachel would appreciate me dancing on the duvet, especially in the early hours of the morning!!

Too much craziness on my part, perhaps!

Overambitious, maybe!

Ah, to be agile again!

All the same, I interject a praise here!

The Psalmist encourages us: Thank the Lord because He is good. His love continues forever.

O yes!

His love never quits!

However, in time, the duvet, along with the golden coloured curtains and laminated floor will eventually fade, fray, fall apart, go out of fashion, and probably need fixing!

But sure-enough, God is good!

And much more than just being good, He is loving.

For-sure, our heavenly Fathers love will not fray, frazzle, fade away, or need fixing!

His love never calls it a day!

Never discontinues!

Indeed, Fathers loyal love will never run out, His merciful love will never dry up. They’re created new every morning.

How great is His faithfulness!

Awesome stuff!

Therefore, come-on friends!

Next time you feel like dancing, don’t lie down till the feeling passes!

Instead, take hold of the moment.

Be a child again.

Discard those inhibitions.

Then, if you’re able, dance on the duvet, and praise Him!!

Surely, He deserves our praise.

Yes? Amen!

Oh! What a feeling!
