Brilliantly Coloured Braces

Brilliantly Coloured Braces:

Although I’m visually impaired, I still like to feel smart, look good, and, occasionally, wear striking colours.

For this reason, I recently purchased some brilliantly coloured braces.

Yep, you’ve got it, elastic straps that hold trousers up!

Held up with brand new florescent-yellow braces!

You know, that kinda emergency yellow.

Shocking, you may think.

But at least folks can see me coming!

And at least my trousers stay up!

Anyhow, this got me a thinking, again.

Visualize how God, our generous Father in heaven, could invest His ideas in us.

Suppose if He were to vocalize His voice through us.

Picture how He could serve so many people through us.

Consider how the Father’s perpetual perspective can meet our present-day.

And this is how He can do it:

We can support those who are confined by conditions.

We could keep afloat those who feel submerged or over-whelmed.

We can relieve those who are burdened psychologically or mentally.

Garbed in God-like strength, we could smash every unwelcome difficulty.

We can generously share our food with individuals who are empty.

We could offer those who are physically or spiritually deprived of security a place in our extended family.

Full of Father’s love and generosity, we can put clothes on those in need, without over-looking our own home locality.

We could ignore those who manipulate others to their own advantage.

With common sense and Godly insight, we can put an end to blaming others.

Sure-enough, we could get rid of nasty and provocative talk.

We can make sure that the empty-bellied and those burdened with obligations have all that they need.

Equipped with Father’s help, we could comfort the orphans and widows in their extreme distress.

We can be the Father’s whisper to the woeful.

Yep, we could share good news with them.

Being well-grounded, we can encourage those who are held in the grip of a strong emotion to let go, and let God.

We could stress that those unable to perceive can now see.

We can remove the chains from those weighed down with a load.

And, even without wearable technology, we could boldly state that now is the time.

So, listen with intention:

Open your ears.

Watch your step.

Use your head.

Express yourself clearly.

Make the most of every chance you get.

Reach-out and hand-out.

Come-on.

Show up.

Stand up and be noticed.

Be fluorescent in the absence of illumination.

Shine.

Do it right now!

And, say yes!
