This is the website of David Prince - A confident Communication of Christ.Shortly after last Christmas, we spent seven days reading - listening to the fiction/Christian audio book, “The Shack,” written by William Paul Young, and skilfully read by Roger Mueller.
There are seven compact disc’s in total.
Anyhow, we previously looked up a few reviews and endorsements and were particularly intrigued by one comment which depicted the book as having the potential to do for our generation what John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress did for his. It’s that good!Eugene Peterson.
We would totally agree with this, acknowledging that both of us have been absolutely gripped to whatever was coming next.
The foreword opened with excitement, and continued for a while, leading into shock, horror, pain and anguish.
For a moment, we were left in mystery, wondering what’s going to happen next.
Then, suddenly; without going into the detail of the story line, we were greeted by a beautiful surprise as the reader, listener was introduced to the writers character portrayal of God.
The story, full of amazement, filled with wonder and delight, wrapped in imagination, fascination, and overwhelming moments - affected us in an exquisite and emotional way - leaving us in a cogitated suspense every day.
It certainly gave us something to chew over!
For this reason, we were compelled to eagerly await the next episode - as we had chosen to listen to one CD per day.
As the dialogue continued; adding to the drama adventure were episodes that brought healing, forgiveness, and covered aspects of relationship.
In fact, dovetailed into the various glimpses of mixed emotion - anger, anxiety, fear, hate, laughter, love, joy and so on - relationship seemed to be the reason for the composition.
Our relationship with God, and with others - a meeting of the hearts.
At times; we were chuckling along with the amusement of the dialogue, other times tears were gently rolling.
Wholly absorbed in creative excellence, we believe “The Shack” could be life changing - a story which could turn a life around!
This allegory, without doubt, is the best creative piece of writing we’ve read - heard for a long time.
And, without reserve, we recommend it to all.
Can’t wait for the movie! - Just hope it’s audio described!
