Freedom Grows

Freedom Grows:

Howdy friends,

As many of you know I’m currently suffering with fatigue associated with chronic kidney disease.

In light of this, most of my time is spent taking life easier.

Anyhow, Rachel has recently transformed the front-end of our converted garage into a summer lounge.

Basically, it’s become a redbrick shutter furnished with rattan cane.

It’s an ideal place to shelter from the drizzling rain whilst still being able to enjoy the open environment.

And obviously a great protective covering from the blazing sun.

Situated adjacent to our garden, it’s wonderful to pause for relaxation whilst listening to the birds.

Hey!

Just listen to the birds.

If you’re able, look at them.

They are free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God.

And guess what!

We count far more to him than birds.

Still, some people think I’m bound by shackles and chains because of my multiple health issues.

Others reckon I need to get out more.

Yet I’m free to communicate.

Free to encourage.

Free to build up hope.

Why?

My life is immersed in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions.

I never worry about missing out.

God knows my every need.

He is ready to give.

I’ve found all my everyday human concerns will be met.

He takes care of everything I need.

Sure-enough, I’m free and unfettered.

Free from confinement to these four walls.

Able to act at will.

My progress is not prevented.

I’m not under compulsion or restraint.

Finally, I’m able to serve others in love.

That’s how freedom grows.

Oh yes!

In love.

That’s the heart of it folks.
