Over the last year we have experienced some unforgettable events, including a couple of changes, as we have moved our spiritual home.

Many of you will know we are now based at Hemsworth Christian Fellowship in West Yorkshire.

We’ve been there since March, and are enjoying every minute.

Yep, that’s right! Every minute!

The fellowship is linked in with Partners In Harvest and also has connections with the Ground Level Network.

We are very excited by what God is already doing and is about to do in the lives of the folks here.

Indeed; we have been really blessed to join the fellowship at a time when the new pastors, Ollie & Jenny took office – and we are looking forward to seeing their progress.

It is a real joy to share with these folks – to love them, support them, and always to think the best of them.

Our ministry, Newday-Prince International, is also going from strength to strength.

We are always aware of the great potential of the Internet, and are delighted with the response we receive from visitors to our web pages.

Having the opportunity to share our story live is also a very important part of our lives.

This year, we were especially blessed to minister in Selston and Kettering. Both events were real good, and we believe God spoke to many folks.

Furthermore; we were particularly thrilled when we were asked to share in ministry alongside Barry Woodward at the Valley Pentecostal Church in Stocksbridge.

That evening I shared in music and song, and Barry shared his story “Once An Addict,” the fascinating true story of one man’s escape from the murky drugs underworld.

You really must read his book!

Another highlight this year happened when the pastoral team in Hemsworth invited me to share the Newday-Prince story.

In retrospect; as I shared in music and song with our testimony interlinked, I was overcome with emotion, thankful for the opportunity to talk to our new friends about God’s story in our lives.

And, on that morning we believe many folks were encouraged and blessed.

Carrying on with the highlights of 2009; we were really excited when we had a rather unusual opportunity to share the Newday-Prince story live on United Christian Broadcasters, UCB Radio.

It happened early one morning, just before the 8 o’clock news.

Once again; the responses we received from folks who heard the interview with Luke Weston were so amazing, and we continue to give thanks to God for every opportunity.

Health wise, this year, things haven’t been so good for us though.

Many of you may recall that Rachel had micro-disectomy surgery in January, and although the operation was successful, the recovery has turned-out to be quite a journey.

Adding to the stress of things, I too had a turbulent year with re-occurring water infections – and at one stage was having to visit my consultant every month!

Mentally; I wasn’t at my best, and most of Spring-time became a blur to me.

The stress of “things” also got to Rachel. Not only did her doctor reckon she was on the verge of a heart attack or stroke, but later, much later, she was also diagnosed as suffering with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder.

Today, as I write this E-newsletter, Rachel is still receiving ongoing treatment, and I’m continuing to have the re-occurring water infections – and consequently having to endure another course of antibiotics!!

As you can imagine, we would really value your prayers here.

Our health hasn’t prevented us doing other things though, in fact we’ve been quite busy.

Perhaps for Rachel, the most exciting thing that has happened in our home recently, is that we’ve finally gotten around to having fitted wardrobes in two of our bedrooms, and laminated floors too!

This, plus the loft bordered out with hand-rail and steps adds to the excitement!

In addition; our dining area and kitchen floor is in the process of being aquablocked, and a French window installed!

You know friends; God misses nothing when it comes to knowing what pleases His children.

We’ve been especially blessed with a brilliant carpenter, and a painter.

Anyhow; with Christmas and the New Year just around the corner, we would like to take this opportunity to pray God’s biggest blessings for all of our friends.

Reflecting on some words from 2 Thessalonians 1: we pray: By His power, may God fulfil every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.

Big blessings,

David & Rachel.
