Hasn’t the last month whizzed by? But hey, they certainly do reckon that time vanishes, especially when you’re enjoying yourself! And that’s what Rachel and I are doing.
The weekends with Scott & Hilary Dalton from Toronto Rivers of Grace Ministries, and Steve Long, the senior pastor from Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship, were a real blessing to everyone who attended Hemsworth Christian Fellowship.
One of the highlights was when a young man who had injured his leg came forward for prayer. After being prayed for by Steve Long, folks saw with their own eyes the young mans leg grow back to it’s normal size. Praise God!
Apparently; friends in the fellowship went to visit the young man in the following week, and witnessed him playing football with his boys – something which he had been unable to do for years!
Unfortunately; Rachel and I were unable to attend everything over these weekends, but a full report was given to us, and we’re awaiting the release of the digital videodisc.
On to other things: We’ve begun to be part of a cell-group in the fellowship at Hemsworth, and are enjoying every moment of it. There’s normally only six of us, but we have a great time of chatting, sharing God’s Word, praying together and of course we mustn’t forget the tea & coffee!
While I’m sharing about the cell-group, you may like to visit this months reflection.
Now, on to some health news: I’ve recently had a good report from the transplant clinic, all my blood results are looking grand. We have, however, discovered that I’m currently enduring a water infection, but this may be caused by having to self catheterise up to eight times a day!
Rachel too is having to now take medication for the rest of her life, as she’s got high cholesterol.
On prescribing Rachel with the medication, the doctor indicated to her that if she didn’t go straight onto the medication she could be on the verge of having a heart-attack or stroke!
So we’d value your prayers into this one please.
Anyhow, even with all these health issues; I’m particularly delighted that I’m now able to walk around normally, as just over six weeks ago I badly sprained my ankle, and this prevented me from venturing out too far.
Even walking over to the church in our village caused discomfort!
But, nothing is stopping us from going out now, and along with all our news, we’ve recently had an invitation to share the Newday-Prince Story &Mmusic with folks in a church in Selston, Nottinghamshire.
For this we would also really value your prayers, especially since the folks there have been waiting for eighteen months to arrange a convenient date .
If you would like more details about this event, please Email us.
Anyway, that’s all from us this month.
Thanks once again for your prayer support.
Just knowing that you are praying for us is a great encouragement.
Thank you.
